Admission can be purchased at the Visitor Center the day of your visit. Admission includes the next day free with the exception of major events and holidays.

Do I need reservations for the Kentucky Horse Park?
If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. Check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Is thoroughbred park free?
Not a lot to see and do here but it is free and the statues of the horses are quite nice. Great for photos.

How long does it take to go through the Kentucky Horse Park?

Most guests find that it takes 3-5 hours to tour the park. Many factors can impact this estimation, however, including weather, time of year, and other events that may be occurring on the park grounds. Those who partake in the trail riding or horse farm tour attractions will need to allot extra time, as well.

Entry Fees: Most people are surprised to find out that it does not cost anything to enter your horse in a race, unless the race is a stakes race (Kentucky Derby, Breeders’ Cup, etc.). Some stakes races, like many of the Breeders’ Cup Classic, cost in upwards of $120,000.

Is riding car park free?
You only pay if there is space in the car park and you manage to park. ? FREE parking at Reel cinema will continue and they will validate your parking in the cinema as normal – you will need your car registration.

Approved face coverings are required to be worn by all attendees while inside indoor areas and are recommended in all crowded areas throughout the Kentucky Horse Park, whether indoors or outdoors.
What can you do at the KY horse Park?
The park’s daily schedule includes the Parade of Breeds, Big Barn Stall-Side Chat, the Hall of Champions Show, and the Derby Winner Nightcap. Our campground offers 260 spacious sites with 50/30/20 amp electric and water. All sites are 55′ paved back-ins with fire rings and picnic tables.
Is the derby free entry?
Aside from the brand new Jubilee Family Festival enclosure, this area is not ticketed and is free to access for spectators across the two Derby days.
