How Does A Cobb Work?
The COBB simply works off Cobblestone or charcoal briquettes. The cooker can reach a cooking temperature of up to 300 degrees and allows you a cooking time of up to 2 hours on 1x Cobblestone. After cooking you simply lift the removable fire basket and dump the cooled ashes.
How does Cobb tune work?
COBB Tuning provides several off the shelf maps for each vehicle supported by the Accessport. These maps are designed to offer performance gains for completely stock vehicles along with those that have specific bolt-on modifications. There are also valet, economy, or anti-theft maps for most platforms.
Can a Cobb work on any car?
Each Accessport is only compatible with certain vehicles. With many platforms, it can even be specific vehicles through specific model year ranges. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to determine which Accessport part number you need.

Do you have to keep Cobb tuner plugged in?
Nope! Actually it’s better (in my opinion) to unplug it. The only benefit of plugging it in is you can use it as an additional gauge for boost/knock/timing etc.
Does a Cobb air intake need a tune?
A: The only thing required for the intake is a custom tune or the Cobb AccessPort and nothing else is needed. Recommendations for other parts will depend on your goals for the car.
Does Cobb Accessport add HP?
Cobb accessport will give approx 25+ hp and 14+ torque. The cold air intake from cobb will not give any more hp gains but will give the intake some noises and make the car seem faster or stronger. The stock intake is roughly good for about 400 hp.
Can you still tune with Cobb?
A: Yes! Your Accessport can still be used to tune your car just like you always have. Your Accessport still has the same functionality it had prior to the change that was made to our Accesstuner custom tuning software.
Do Cobb tunes only work with Cobb parts?
Or do I need to have Cobb parts on only? A: Yes, you can use a Cobb AccessPort for those parts, but Cobb’s OTS maps are not recommended for non Cobb parts.
Can you use a Cobb on multiple cars?

What happens if I lose my Cobb Accessport?
Most likely you will have to reflash your ECU back to Stock map from Cobb or Dealership and then purchase a new AP and reflash it. you should be able to buy a new cobb ap and install the tune from that new hand unit. it will over write anything on the ecu.
What happens if you run a cold air intake without a tune?
Can A Cold Air Intake Damage Your Engine? A no-tune-required cold air intake, if properly installed and maintained, will not damage your engine. However, you have to be more careful with tune-required cold air intakes. Tune-required intakes use a larger tube diameter for increased airflow to the engine.
