What Is Own A Pony Day?
Own A Pony Day is for children aged 8 to 15 who one day dream of owning their own pony. Each camper is assigned a pony for the day where they are in charge of the grooming and saddling with help from the instructors and leaders. The children ride twice, morning and afternoon.

This fun-filled day includes grooming, tacking up, riding, learning about feeding, tack cleaning, mucking out and much more! Bring your packed lunch, waterproofs and all your horsey clobber if you have it (don’t worry, we have riding hats!)
What is the purpose of a pony?
Ponies are used for riding, driving, jumping, eventing, in dressage competition, for fox hunting, trail riding, and much more! Both children and small adults can ride ponies, and both will often begin learning to ride a horse by riding a pony first.

You will get to interact with the ponies learning all about how to care for them, and you will get to feed them under supervision of our staff. Some days are themed with treasure hunts, treat making for ponies and lots of other pony activities.
